Ethnic Cleansing: The Video Game Have any of you heard about this? It's a white supremicist video game. You're play a white supremicist who shoots minorities. It sounds like it might use the Half Life game engine much like Counter Strike? Quite disturbing. There was some story about this on the news. DaDakota: Is the state of your industry a concern over stuff like this? Video games seem so... unconnected... to each other that I've never really associated "bad" game publishers with "good game" publishers.
What did you expect from resistance.com? Anyone ever watch those specials on how hate groups now use the Internet as their primary method of communicating their message?
Haven, It is a concern in that the government will come down hard on ALL of us because of crap like this. However, I am all for free speech, and good taste is not legislatable. And this is in very poor taste, and the game looks like CRAP too. DaDakota
You have to ask yourself a couple of questions: Are there any retail outlets that would sell a game like this? My guess would be zero Are there any TV channels, networks, or magazines that would advertise a game like this? Again, a big, fat zero. DaDakota also mentioned that the game looks like crap (I'll wait until I get home to look at the site). The reason it looks like crap is because the developers knew that the wouldn't sell that many copies, so didn't put much effort or money into the game. They're just trying to create controversy... I mean, who would buy a game like that? My guess is that most people who are that racist and narrow-minded to buy a game like that probably aren't smart enough to operate a computer, anyways. No advertising + No sales = complete failure. This is very minor news and will probably be forgotten in a couple of months... Don't worry, DaDakota, I don't think the video game industry will take much heat for this
resistance records is a white supremecist recording (and now video game) label. they do nothing but spew hate. there was a VH1 or MTV documentary on hate crimes and the show covered resistance records and some of the bands they produce... sick.
And they haven't affected the recording industry either. This sick game should do nothing to affect game sales.
The game sucks because it is too limited in scope. People should be able to change sides at random. That way, you can kill a little bit of everybody. Then there coud be an internal switch that, once you switch sides too much, all of the races really hate you and you have to be one against a few million. I probably would only kill whiteys, especially those that date interracially. Lol, stick to your own kind!
I would like to meet the person who developed this video game. If I did, I would kidnap him, dress him up in his Klan uniform, and handcuff him to a telephone pole at the corner of Elgin and Dowling.
Well if you just want to kill whiteys, you should look into Grand Theft Auto, you can also kill cops and prostitutes too...
Jack, I don't wink at people I don't know, might cause problems. BGM, It is all about iontent within the game. I bet GTA does not make it that you kill whiteys only because they are whiteys and it certainly wouldn't give you extra points for killing race mixers.
