Really none of them look like good NFL prospects. Like Drew Tate before them.

 

I'm pretty sure Chase Daniel and Matt Stafford will be 1st day picks in the NFL draft.

 

I was thinking the other day that Colt McCoy has to be one of the coolest names for a Texas QB ever. I'm going with Colt for the coolest name.

 

When I first heard that UT had a QB named Colt McCoy, my first reaction was honestly hysterical laughter.

It was just too good. Too goofy. Too ridiculously stereotypical. Like something out of a freakin' cheesy high school football movie.

McCoy, but only because in addition to the sick QB rating, he's added 278 yards rushing. HOWEVER, that comes with a big asterisk, since they haven't really been put to the test yet. But if he keeps up this pace, he may be striking a pose later.

 

I'm convinced that Case Keenum has eyes behind his head.

Chase Daniel 1st without a doubt. I normally would have gone with Harrell 2nd but he hasn't done too well so far this season in my opinion. Colt McCoy is having a solid season he would be my 2nd pick. But it is still too early to call.

 

Agreed...He is the offense, and that's a sad statement...he's improved his passing but he's not the best...For some reason, whenever I see him play, I always think, "isn't there someone out there better"...

As for Keenum, the jury is still out...He has to consistently win, which he did last week...

 

You obviously haven't seen John Chiles try to play QB.

We did a story on McCoy when he was a JR in High School. We had footage of the kid playing basketball & he made a buzzer-beater at the half....from underneath the opposite basket. No kidding.

 

What makes McCoy good is between his ears. He just makes the right read. McCoy is Applewhite with legs and a slightly stronger arm.

I sure hope Garret Gilbert is ready to go next year because I'm not sold at all that Chiles will ever be good enough to start on a full-time basis.

 

Colt is a junior. No way he leaves school early. That'll give Gilbert a year of #2 snaps when they move Chiles to WR/RB/ReggieBush
