Great Expectations

    Has anyone read the book "Great Expectations"?. I need some help understanding what it means..... I've read the 1st 20 chapters or so, but can anyone help me out?

    Yes, I have read it...

    and yes, it is possibly the most boring book ever written. All I remember was that the main character's name was Pip...

    I guess I've never really understood Dickens. Dude could write three pages describing the doorknob in a room...

    get the Cliff Notes or watch the loosely based modern movie version with Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke. My wife watched the movie version and then read the book and enjoyed them both!

    That book was awesome. Seriously, I didnt find anything boring about it. I recently read it so I can answer anything on the book....

    Sweet Drew. I think its very boring, but here goes. I get it all the way until Miss Havisham's house, but not after that. What happens after that?

    Miss Havisham's house? lol, your like 20 minutes of reading into the book! .... Even if you dont read the story in time for the class assignment, I suggest you read it after for pleasure.
