It seems that Jonathan went to Queensbridge and interviewed folks about how Ron Artest grew up and his charity work. It's a very well written piece. The takeaway for me: Ron may be crazy, but he doesn't seem to be a bad guy. His interest in doing community work (even when not ordered to do so by a court. :p ) should enable him to get along with with Mutombo and Yao.

Another note: I think Feigan will be able to get some good interviews with Ron this year. By going to Queensbridge, Feigan probably has earned his "ghetto cred" with Ron and will be trusted.

That was a good read. I think Artest is basically a good guy that made a big mistake in the public eye. That one mistake makes every subsequent mistake look worse. Unfortunately, that is the way the world works and Artest knows he needs to deal with it.

All these articles are well and good, but I for one can not wait until the 14th. My hoops addiction craves live video feeds of Artest as the Rockets brass introduce him to the media.
