    Does anyone know if the Rockets ever open up the Toyota Center or related facilities to the public for new player introductions? I live in Austin and I'm actually considering driving over if there's going to be a public gathering of sorts after the presser...

    Is anyone here planning on attending anything regarding next Thursday?

    I know they opened it up for Tracy McGrady when he was traded here. I was there. I don't know if it would be the same for Ron. I'm glad you asked that I'm a find out about that asap because I would go.

    And he's a member?

    I know there was a time when you could join and there was no "Rookies" - but that was alot further back than 2006.

    Don't get me wrong I'm not upset by the fact that i'm a rookie. I fully understand why I was demoted - however I was just curious about this 1 post guy...If he had donated he would be a 'contributing member' but alas he is just a member...

    so if it wasn't a donation , how has he managed it?

    no particular issues with the post(s) above yet ...

    the fascination with status is curious. especially when yah can contribue w/o the 'contributing member' moniker, the labels are pretty meaningless & who really cares about your 'rookie' status if its a quality post?

    plus, if you've been here awhile w/o issues n regardless of post count (hey, i'm sensitive there) why shouldn't that be acknowledged?

    loving the Artest deal! :)
