    I caught some of this game last night. When I turned it on, the first thing Fran Fraschilla said about Newley was how he had no problem "getting to the hole." That surprised me as I thought he was strictly a shooter...

    Mate, the only reason he "missed" the dunk (which did actually go in) was because Kobe's (IIRC) hand was in there too.

    Yeah, i don't kno why Newley has a rep. for just being a spot up shooter.
    When he was playing in the NBL down under, he was a machine at getting to the hole, he took it to any big in the paint.

    I was very impressed with Newley. It was the first time I've seen him play. He was fearless at driving to the hoop and hit some good long-range shots.
