    i have been calling his number since last season. artest is what we needed.

    Now the question is should we keep battier?

    I think we should as he could be that glue guy and backup we needed to keep artest in check.

    we needed insurance backup for tracy and artest too.

    FB, you know I have the greatest respect for you, but how can you not like a trade that gets us a 20/5/4/2 former DPOY? For peanuts? Who's going to be in a contract year and will be playing for the coach he offered to take a paycut for if the Kings would retain him? That we'll have bird rights for? That's an expiring contract if (unlikely, imo) he doesn't work out?

    Heck, I could go on for a long time. My mind is blown! How can you not like this deal? So he's a character. So what? Isn't the object of the game to get more wins than the competition? To out-score them and to keep them from scoring? We just added a proven lock-down defender who averaged 20 points a game last season.

    He's not running for President!! :eek: :p ;)
