That's probably your best bet if you want one now.

 

I just called Sony. I just received the Visa version of the card, and per Sony you will receive a $100 credit on your account as long as your first purchase is made at a Sony store or Sonystyle.com, and the purchase has to be over $299. After that first purchase you can use the care anywhere just like a normal credit card.

Now the catch is that the $100 credit won't post to your account for 8-12 weeks, so if you don't want to lessen your $100 credit with interest payments, you will have to rack up another $100 of charges on that card another way. If you don't care about the interest than you still get something back, just not a full $100. You can truly get a full $100 but it will take 2-3 months.

So I guess my only option is to buy it in the Sony store?? Everyone I have called is sold out of the 80G bundle anyway (Best Buy, Walmart, Sony store).

 

did you read the post i made on the first page? There is a link that allows you to apply for the same sony card but you can use it anywhere and not JUST the sonystyle store.

 

Yeah, I see it (thanks). I just already got the other card and don't think I need to get another one just for the PS3.

 

That thread says you don't have to use it just on the PS3 either. Just have to spend 299 . I haven't done it myself but that would be sweet if that was the case.
