There's nothing wrong with 98 Degrees, I think they are one of the best ballad based groups out there. They are a little one dimensional as their non ballad type songs(such as "give me just one night, una noche") ends up sounding disasterous but they are good at what they do, sing ballads. In terms of ballads, BoyzIIMen will always be on top, and I find the backstreet boys and their more pop sounding ballads are very nice too. I want it that way, as long as you love me, and shape of your heart are all classics.

I'm just a pop music fan, I like all good music, or I should say I was a pop music fan. I thought the Golden era of pop spanned from 1996 to the end of 2000. Since then it's all gone downhill, the once fresh acts like Brit really got stale, and the new acts stink, the fact there's so much rap/rock/punk on the charts now has me so disillusioned with music in general. Before I was obsessed, I bought the magazines, bought the CDs, posters, and talked with my friends about music all the time. Now I don't even listen to radio, so yeah, losing interest in music is probably what made me divert some of my attention to basketball(I never really liked sports before I followed the nba) I don't like all boy bands at all, I hate Nsync(I admit ByeByeBye was a pop classic but I've always been for backstreet so I never liked Nsync), I hate A1(I can't believe they are so popular, they have some of the worst sounding songs ever and the only reason why they are popular is because Ben is really good looking). And I hate OTown too If I had to rank "boy bands" in order of preference 1.Backstreet 2.Westlife 3.5ive 4.98 Degrees If you want to include Hanson in that category then I'd put them ahead of 5ive, Hanson have some real classics
