I've been wanting to get back in shape and whatnot, so I was wondering where were some good places to play. I'm not very good, I just want a fun up and down game (no halfcourts). Any suggestions?
I remember a court behind a firestation somewhere around 29th street off the drag. we would park next to the firehouse then walk to the courts. many a memories just shooting the lights out of everyone who would leave me WIDE open. edit: its on W. 30th street- Fire Station 3
Gregory Gym baby, and sometimes the Rec Center. Any UT students up for a game? Nothin like gettin schooled by a 5'10 jew boy!!!
Gregory's awesome, but for non-students you have to look elsewhere. After law school, the apartment complex I lived in (Riata) has a sweet court. I guess that doesn't help you much, either. There was a decent court on 45th street that I used to hoop at, in Hyde Park. There was usually a good crowd there in the evenings, around 6 or 7. The downside was no lights, so it would be too dark to play by 9.
YMCA at TownLake. We have some good b-ball at noon every day during the week, also some insane people play at 6am every day too. DaDakota
On Monday's I usually play at this court over off Far West on top of a hill behind a school. Obviously I don't know the name of the park/school. RM95, anytime you or any of you other guys would like to get together and ball, I'm down.
