Oh, my vote for most underrated would be Mango and tacoma park legend. Mango because he's an alien robot with a subtle sense of humor that you don't get unless you pay attention. The Borg are hysterical by comparison. He also makes opinions based on fairly solid facts and rarely makes them solely on emotion. Tacoma Park Legend because he claims to be 15 or 16, and the way he composes his opinions and his disection of basketball simply are among the best on this board. I can't vote for deanbcurtis, because he likes Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky.

I think maybe posters who change their names lose some of their notoriety for awhile. maybe we all just liked the idea of "Shanna" better. the whole idea of rating is funny. this March, we should have a Posters Tournament to crown the Poster On High for Clutch City BBS 2002. we could try to figure out who the top 64 rated posters are. then, we could put them into brackets based on either popularity, political persuasion, passion for posting or even just penile prowess [sorry Princess, dIseEAsED moNKEy, et al]. then, for each bracket, we could have the entirety of the 4000 members weigh in on 64 separate polls. the vote wouldn't count unless all 4000 members [except the two being voted on] vote. we could continue the process for all 63 matchups. at the end of it all, we could have an objective, scientifically quantifiable judgment on who truly is the absolute best poster here at Clutch City. or maybe we should just have a venting thread where every one of the 4000 members comes clean with the moniker of the 1 poster they most despise. that could get lively. I'd hate to have to be the admin to pull the plug on that one.

this may be a naive question, but does anyone know if the overseas guys will ever be able to log on or surf the net? I mean, they can watch some tv and listen to radio, right? I know nothing about being in the military and what they are able to do during their downtime, so I'm just curious. . . how surreal would it be to get war posts from Lynus and treeman?
Lynus is not overseas. Lynus is sitting at Hobby Airport because all the flights are delayed. And he's not going overseas. He's going to Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. And he'll be there until June 15. He's going for basic training and AIT training. No tv, no computer, no telephone. He can write letters, but they only get 1 hour of free time a day. And they still have laundry and stuff to do during that time.

Oeilpere has got to be the most under-rated! I know people shower him with praise because of his great info, but its well deserved. Hell, I'm sure his incite is what keeps many people coming back to this bbs...because it sure isn't GB or BTM!
