dallas is still a very good team without dirk. they have a very good record without him. they went 3-1 without him last yr.

they still have 2 all-stars. we do nto have any all-stars TECHNICALLY hehe. so they still have the stars advantage

i predict rockets win by 20 and the chuckster discredits it because the mavs missed dirk's defensive presence and rebounding!

Ten minutes to game time and there's still 8:30 minutes of game clock. I have a bad feeling about this.

right now, it's 8:22pm and uh we're looking at the 4th quarter with about 8 minutes to go for the cle/chicago game.

I bet the game doesn't start till around 9pm. this is why I don't like tnt games.

Watch for George at power forward

Brandon Bass will replace Dirk in the starting lineup, according to Avery. But MFFL favorite Devean George could play a key role at power forward against the Rockets tonight.

"You're probably going to see him there tonight," Avery said of George, who has been almost solely a swingman this season after being Dirk's primary backup last year.

George made a major impact as a power forward in the Mavs' 109-96 home win over the Rockets last season. He got hot in the second half, knocking down four 3-pointers, and finished with 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks.

But Dirk (30-10-6 that night) had a lot to do with George getting open looks. The Mavs played Dirk at center during their second-half run, but the Rockets tried defending George with Dikembe Mutombo. Zeke is still an outstanding shot blocker, but he's not exactly comfortable 25 feet from the hoop. Houston had to switch to a smaller lineup and then got hammered on the glass.

George also helped cool off Tracy McGrady that night. T-Mac scored 45 points, but he missed seven of his last 10 shots.

I remember that game...This Rockets team won't let that happen. The Mavs haven't had a taste of the Scola & Landry monster.
