I just watched That 80's Show and I was thinking...

Were the 90's the most boring decade ever?

I thinl we'll see a '90s show eventually.

Lots of stuff to make fun of:
CD's
The internet boom
Boy Bands there at the end....

...and a bunch more I can't think of

I didn't think there would be '80s nostalgia until several years removed from it. The '80s seemed boring at the time. The '90s may seem funnier the futher we are away from them.

One question, how old is Tinsley Grimes? Even in 80's attire, she looks pretty good :)

I graduated in 81, but most of the period from 81 thru 85 is quite fuzzy. The one word that describes the 80's for me? Experimentation.

I watched That 80's Show last night and thought that they were too worried about showing how much 80's crap they could throw in instead of making the show funny. That 70's Show is my favorite comedy by far because they are funny not because it is about the 70's. They throw in some 70's nostalgia or whatever you want to call it but the show is almost completely about the characters and the stupid **** they do.

How can you say that? The 90's gave us Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP, and a lot of great music. I graduated HS in the early 90's so I am a little biased. If any decade gave us crappy music it was the 80's. Some of that **** isnt even barable. ie She Blinded Me With Science and garbage like that.

That 90s Show would be easy -- set it in 1992. Dress everyone in flannel and long shorts, but throw in some guy who wears goofy MC Hammer pants just for effect.

You can have everyone listen to grunge. They can have crappy little computers on their desks and talk about how great they are. They can go to Lollapalooza. They can talk about Clinton and joke how at least there will never be another Bush in the White House. This stuff practically writes itself!

I grew up in the 90's and could never get into the music. I grew up with kids into Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince and New Kids on the Block. I turned to 80's groups like New Order and The Cure and later Depeche Mode and the other new wave artists who made 80's music.

The late 90's was the best part of that decade. That was really my generation. I graduated from high school in 97. The internet came into the picture and changed everything. I kind of miss the late 90's.

Yea I gotta agree....90's music really was boring after the first couple of years.I could probably count the 90's bands I liked on one hand....Nirvana,stp,alice in chains, pearl jam and soundgarden are about all I can come up with right now...

Sure there was alot of crappy music in the 80's.... but at least music was about having fun....in the 90's everytyhing seemed to to deal with a depressing subject.

Another thing I was thinking about.... if any other decade produced more one hit wonders than the 80's ?

Late 90's music was better than early 90's music. I say that only because the late 90's was my generation more than the early 90's.

A good thing that came from the mid to late 90's (IMO) was the emergence of good techno/trance/rave music. Definitely one of my highlights.
