    Thanks Donatello.

This reminds me a true story by Jimmy Carter. Once he told a joke during a public speech in Japan. He was impressed by the interpreter because he thought the joke was a little too American and not that funny. After the speech Carter asked the interpreter how he translated his joke that amused the audience so much. The interpreter said: I didn't get the joke so I said to the audience 'Mr. president just told a joke, please laugh!'.

Now back to that dunk, it seems that basket is lower than 10 feet. Maybe they lowered it by a foot due to pressure from Chinese govmnt.

    I see it this way:

His left foot was his pivot foot.
But he jumps off his right foot, after lifting his left foot off the ground.
That would be a travel. I think this is where we are looking at it differently. I think he jumps off his right foot, you say both feet. Ultimately, who cares? It's the sweetest move ever made by a big man, hands down...particularly on the "MVP," of the NBA that year. :)

I liked the spin dunk best. In the chronicle they have a photo at the moment of that one where both guys' (that flew by him) hands are slapping glass as Yao's throwing it down.

THe travel was because his pivot foot moved about 5 inches when he spun back toward the basket. Its not a move that can't be done without traveling, Dream just moved his pivot foot a bit.

It helps when your team is horrible and you won't be pressurized for bashing your own team.

You've got to give him props for trying to draw the charge as compare to, say, screaming like a little girl and running in the opposite direction, curling up into the fetal position, etc.

Nice dunk. Gives me an excuse to post this classic Yao highlight:

I thought that could have only happened during a All-Star game cause no one would defend you.

Just love the trick he played :D
