http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5434984.html Dog steps on loaded shotgun, kills Baytown teacher By CINDY HORSWELL Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle Chambers County sheriff's investigators have concluded a veteran teacher at Baytown's Robert E. Lee High, Perry Alvin Price III, was fatally shot Saturday by his own dog in a freak hunting accident. According to investigators, the hunting dog stepped on a loaded shotgun in the bed of Price's pickup truck, triggering a discharge that blasted through the tailgate and penetrated Price's thigh. Price died from severe blood loss after being transported to Winnie Medical Center nearby. Counselors were called in for the students today.
Wow, what a lame way to die. But if some ******* considers putting that dog down I'm going to be pissed.
wow what a senseless tragedy. that dog needs to be sent to doggy jail where he's raped doggy style every night.
Anyone remember that SNL sketch where a captured bear breaks loose, and then picks up a shotgun and kills one of his captors? I think Wynona Ryder was the host.
You usually don't hunt in a truck. You drive to the lease, then walk a good distance to the hunting grounds. There's no reason why that gun should have been loaded and left in the back of his truck. Especially when there is a dog walking around back there.
damn, human media. The owner was only accidentally peppered by the dog. If the owner was alive, he would have apologized for causing so much pain in the dogs life. The owner only caused the dog more harm by being so weak and dying from the peppering.
This is genuinely depressing. I had Mr. Price for Analytic Geometry during Spring of my Junior year at Lee in '95. It wasn't very hard for an Honors class (kind of a glorified Algebra 2), late in the day (fifth period), there weren't a whole lot of us, so we actually ended up chatting with him most of the time. It was one of the very few pleasant and still reasonably productive learning experiences I had in high school; and it's pretty safe to assume quite a few of those kids will feel like they just lost a good friend. Tragically enough, I do remember him mentioning how much he liked dogs.
Freak accident my ass. The dog knew what he was doing. This was in retaliation to the whole Mike Vick situation. I feel a war breaking out soon........
