wow, I know it's a scary situation to be in, but why the hell would anyone leave?????? BTW, why the hell would you stop in the left lane. the hood popped up, you can still see whats going on behind you to cut over to the right lane.

Inexcusable to leave the scene like that....especially if the motorist was there when the good samaritan was hit.

Man, this reminds me of the time I was driving on a Houston Freeday(I-10) and this car was stalled just over a hill in the middle of a freeway. This big truck was in front of me and he quickly changed lanes all of a sudden. Then, before I know what's up, I'm barreling down on a stalled car in my lane. I had a split second to swirve out of the way or myself, and that car, would have been toast. This was at 65 miles per hour as well. Stalled cars on freeways are death traps.

WTH? So I can literally cause an accident, but avoid BEING in the accident and I am free of charges?

that's happened to me before too. one minute you're following a car at 60+ mph, the next minute the car in front you of all of a sudden swerves and you have no idea why.

i'm just glad no one was the right of me at that time.

thats why you personally need to keep an eye on what's happening couple of cars in front of you. people just stare at the car in front of them and only brake when they break etc. for all you know it could be a dumb girl putting on makeup not paying attention to the road. i try to brake even before the cars in front of me do.

as for this idiot...good luck living with that on ur head.

as for the samaritan, why would u help anyone in the middle of the highway..call the police, get the car off the road.
