I was wrong. Bonzi is certainly a valuable NBA player at this point. But he'd be much, much better on a team without two traditional post players. Is there a team out there that would need a power guard and could spare a shooter? There's a lot of open shots being made for Bonzi. If someone else is in there, those get turned into points.
Who is the other traditional post player besides Yao? But...good idea. Maybe we can package Bonzi and French Fries for Kyle Korver?
heck if Bonzi has any value we should probably try to get a PG. Another shooter would be really nice but PG is a dire need.
trade him for a scorer. mainly, a scorer the way we need it...penetration. swap bonzi minutes for steve francis..... the cost? ZERO DOLLARS trade accepted.
I'd give up a lot for Andre Miller. He's one of the most under-rated players in the league and he'd be a great fit.
Trade Bonzi? I rather give up Battier who has been dissapointing shooting open shots, overrated on D, and once he pump fakes you know whatever hes gonna throw up is gonna be ugly, but wait, he is a great guy. I'd trade him and a couple others for a Corey Maggette who can if left wide open for a shot can also take it to the basket.
and when you guys say trade him for Andre Miller, you DO MEAN Andre Miller's expiring 9 million dollar contract right? o wait, 1 more year and then it becomes an expiring contract
We have enough shooters. I don't know how the rest of you feel but being one of the league leaders in three point attempts per game year after year is not something to pride yourself on, IMO. It's one thing if you're a run-and-gun uptempo offense. It's a completely different thing if you're a traditional half court team.
The problem with Bonzi is he is playing out of position. He needs to be posting up or slashing to the basket. Instead, he is shooting 3's and outside which are not his strong points.
Andre Miller is the 76ers marquee player. He's a name to sell tickets. IMO they'd want another name to replace him if they were to trade him.
