    boston sucks. they will be above .500 but certainly not a powerhouse. it's garnett, pierce, a hobbled ray allen, and a bunch of chumps.

    Wasn't there already a thread just shortly after the Kevin Garnett trade about this fearless NBA Finals prediction that the teams playing would be the Rockets and the Celtics?

    Let's focus on getting out of the FIRST ROUND before we talk CHAMPIONSHIP. The Rockets haven't made it out of the first round in 12 yrs.

    Are you actually talking about prior to last season? Here are the past NBA championships starting with 2004.

    2004--Detroit Pistons
    2005--San Antonio Spurs
    2006--Miami Heat
    2007--San Antonio Spurs​

    It really has been 10 years since the Rockets last won a playoff series, but 12 years since they last won the NBA Championship.

    Still, I would say yes, we should focus on the Rockets just getting out of the FIRST ROUND before even thinking about talking CHAMPIONSHIP.
