What won the game for the Rockets was heart. Nothing else, but heart. Never under estimate the heart of a champion? I wouldn't call these guys champions, but they have the heart. Desire - Heart- Why the hell isnt the compaq center packed??
Oh, its not hate threads, its just reverse mojo you know? By saying Mooch and Walt suck, it sends out spiritual waves of inspiration to the players that make them perform better. Reverse Mojo. It works baby. Believe.
Compaq Center (er, The Summit) isnt packed because there arent enough people like us to fill it. 90% of Houston fans suck, they could care less if the Rockets arent competing for a championship. This team is to exciting to have only about 10,000 a game.
Moochie was effective tonight because he finally started taking shots, instead of hesitating every single time. If he's taking shots and playing smart, then I'm all for having him in the game... just not if he's playing the way he was in the first 3 games. The moochie haters had every right to complain during the first 3 games. AS for Walt, he made about 3 successful drives (success as in assist to Willis, or score)... that is 3 more successfuldrives than I've ever seen him make during his entire Rockets career. I'll give him his props - he made a clutch shot, and some nice drives, but realistically, how often have we seen Walt make nice drives? I'd still rather have Rice in the game, but he's still not in shape yet... once he is, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of him. Tho I still don't like him, good job Walter.
Just an excellent game by the usual scapegoats Walt, Kenny, and Mooch. Whether it was Walt's HUGE three, his timely assists or clutch defense down the stretch, his contributions directly lead to this win. Kenny Thomas, without him the Rockets get embarrassed, plain and simple. It was obvious at the start this team came out lacking the fire that is needed in the nba. That's why all four quarters are played though, for KT hustled after every rebound, every pass, and played with such intensity. Tonight alone is proof that he deserves to start in this league. Lastly we arrive to Moochie Norris, game winning shot to lift the Rockets to 3-1 and more importantly away from another overtime or even possibly a loss. The way Mooch commanded the offense as Rudy went to the small ball lineup of Mooch, Steve, Cat, Wiz, and Willis was spectacular. If its their contracts, or possible trade value or for whatever reason these players have been blamed for all that goes wrong, cut them some slack. The Rocks are 3-1, enjoy it.
