assume alston will start, we will get a starting PF via trade or MLE, our bench will be

    james/wells/hayes/deke, and maybe snyder/head/vspan

    is that a top 10? top 15?

Slightly better than above. We don't even have a starting 5 nailed down without a PF. To early to rate the bench because some of our bench might not be Rockets real soon.

In the backcourt top 5, frontcourt we do not even have a current bench player.

lol. turd was last year. If bonzi actually plays up to his talent and MJ is the MJ of 2 years ago then i would say its an upgrade to dung

Were a solid swingman and another solid 3rd string PG short of a excellent bench.

yeah..dung, but a nice solid dung.

i would go with a true SG over a 3rd string pg. I know tmac/bonzi/battier can play sg, but i wouldnt call it their natural positions.

And of course front court help.

The thing is we could have a great bench. A top 8 bench as denniscd said. But we would still be far behind the Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Warriors, Bulls, etc... I might even rate the Knicks bench ahead of ours overpaid as they may be...

I actually consider it a slightly above average bench.

average. but does the talent compliment yao and tmac?

if so, that chemistry can enhance everyone's abilities.

if bonzi plays like he did in scramento and james like he did in toronto, that bench would be awesome. :D
