So it would seem they've stopped making new games for Gamecube. Am I correct on that? Was looking for Spiderman 3 and can't find a Gamecube version. The kick is it's all Wii now?? And yet, there are few Wiis to be had anywhere. Huh.
its not too hard to find a wii anymore i dont think. more effort then ps3 or 360 but you can find one. have no idea about the gamecube though.
The real kicker is that the graphics are apparently identical! I am sure it will get better eventually. But right now its minimal. And ridiculous.
Max, Find a Wii and buy it. It is tremendous fun for the whole family. Even if you have no clue how to play today's games, you can enjoy the Wii. I just can't say enough good stuff about it. Good quality fun you can have with the kiddos.
yeah, they announced gamecubes official death in january or feb i think. from what i've heard tracking down a wii is still takes some effort...not like the 5 foot high stack of PS3s they have by the checkout aisle at bestbuy. wii's worth it, though. Especially with their big games coming out soon. i just hope they spent more time on the graphics though. im not a total graphics w**** but some of the games have shown no effort. And the gamecube had some great looking games...i dont get it. off topic, anyone have eternal darkness: sanity requiem? i loved that game and thought i still had it but i think it might have slipped into one of my trade in stacks. Truly great game, unfortunately i dont think they will be making another for NIN...
yeah, that was my idea actually. my wife, who isn't much of a video game player, said she thought the wii would be fun. and i know my boys would love it. i'll find one, ultimately. thanks for the advice!!!
Well obviously Wii took a different route than Playstation. And by the looks of the sales people prefer it.

Pfft...graphics are overrated. Yea, the Wii could be better at that but that's not important to me as of this moment. If I wanted that, I'd go with the 360 and PS3, which in themselves are mighty fine systems. But Wii is where my fun is at right now...I will spend lots of money this summer with Strikers, RE:4, Manhunt...
Max, The Wii plays all the gamecube games too....so it will not render your library of GC games unplayable. Get a Wii, they are all over craiglist and ebay..... DD
not that important to me but i've been renting godfather and its a good game but items just pop up over the horizon..while driving its sucks when a car all of a sudden comes in front of you. Its not so much the detail and such, just the way it all flows.

Dunk, What made you choose the Elite? Every time I go to buy one, the guys behind the counter talk me out of it and say that I only need the bigger hard drive to basically turn my regular 360 into an elite...sans the HDMI cable. Are they lying to me? DD
