If you could own a team in any sport, what sport would it be?

Texans so I could build a team to destroy VY.

 

Gonna take YEARS to do that.

I don't think I could stomach signing the cheques for the major sports salaries. Or listen to a player being insulted by a multi-million dollar offer. So ownership of the majors would ruin the sport for me.

A smaller, less powerful team...MLS, CFL, JrHockey, might be fun though.

(And I'd have box seats for the majors!).

I think we will have a better record this year.

 

All I know is, is that I would NOT want to own the Comets.

NFL, it is the league where the ownership has the most power and the players the least.

I'll take it if he won't VY has already cost me a sig. I wouldn't mind some payback.

 

I can see it happening but no, I won't bet my precious sig on it right now.

 

NFL and its not even close. TV deals, insane popularity and ability to go from 1st to last in one season. Bad deals do not hamstring you completely for years.

I'd be the owner of the Rockets just because I'm a much bigger fan of basketball than NFL. It would be nice owning someone like Tmac and Yao for a change. Things I'll do if I'm the Rox owner:

1. Fire those pricks we call ushers that make us sit down and lower our voice
2. Fire JVG already and get on with it
3. Get Tmac traded for LBJ
4. Jk.. I hate LBJ
5. Out do Cuban and be a bigger prick on the sideline
6. Bring Calvin back
7. Bring back the Power Rangers (or whatever they were called) for halftime shows and such.
8. Wouldn't it be cool if an owner like me could play back up PG or something?

I know NFL is where the dolla-dolla-bill-yawls is, but at least I can still feed my family with an NBA team.

If it's international sports.. I'd own an international soccer team.. like Real Madrid or Barcelona or something. Don't those owners make more than NFL owners? Plus you have a wider international fan base with it.
