Let's Get Young Players and Make Shane the Player Coach

    Now I have advocated trading Shane as probably our only tradeable asset aside from Yao and T Mac.

    Shane has played in the NBA, unlike JVG. He is smoother and less of a downer. He would give good interviews and be a good story.

    Shane is fundamentally sound and as he is playing he could direct the young players. He could also sit on the bench at times and observe from a different perspective. He could demonstrate almost all of the key defensive maneuvers and many of the offensive moves.

    NOt having an expensive coach would allow Les to save some money and he could go over the cap perhpas to get a key player.

    Sura and Motumbo could be player assistant coaches. Howard is a good candidate but eventually his expiring contract may make him tradeable.

    its not that bad of an idea, but does Shane have any inclining's of coaching? If not, why the firetruck are you starting a thread like this. We know, we know, you are just a dedicated pissed of Rockets fan, but this just seems like a bandwidth waste at this point in time. I'm all for wasting resources, but it just seems wrong this time.

    The rockets could really use a coach with intangibles and glue.

    exactly. I'd love to see his offensive clinics.

    We could probably afford Najera with all the money we save too.
