I hate this type of music, but Manny made me...

    Fatty's rules:

    It has to be Country.

You have to find a video.

Anything with Manny getting kicked in the groin earns a dinner.

(FYI: Both of mine have to do with kids. Don't watch if that offends.)

I seriously love these videos. Watch Tim McGraw stare at his dad at the end.

I pull an AK everty time.

All of the country I listen to is either old-school or alt. Not many vids available.

You kidding? While I love old country, there is some new school stuff that is just as good. C'mon! Tim McGraw staring at Tug McGraw?

Conway Twitty, George Jones, George Strait? Hell, I grew up on both the George's.

Give some of the new stuff a chance. It ain't nearly half as bad as some purport it to be.

fattie, i thought you hated these kinds of threads? what gives?

and country music today sucks! its just slicked-out pop music w/ pedal steels and fake country accents. shania twain in a bikini under a tropical waterfall sure is nice, but it aint country!

imo, mainstream country music died w/ george strait.

It is if it comes from Nashville. Pure pop pap-smear. New country music I like is more often than not based in Texas....Kelly Willis, Bruce Robison, Reckless Kelly.

    Snob. :p

FWIW, I'm fully aware that I only know radio stuff, for the most part. Hell. My radio is on sportstalk 99% of the time. Fatty's ears can only take so much...

    :D

I just ran an errand, and I was listening to 790, and the whole time I was in my car (15 minutes) all they talked about were songs from the 80's.

Well it is Fatty's world. I just allow y'all to stay here.

I got HeyP out with us this past weekend. When should I expect a RMTex sighting?

It depends on how strictly you’re defining country, I guess, but Corb Lund can make almost anybody like his brand of country ... almost anybody. The crotchety hefty one might be the exception. ;)

"You Ain't Going Nowhere" - The Byrds off their "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" album - a fitting song to describe Fatty.:)

Why would that give you pleasure? Do you think I'm George C. Scott??
