You never want to see marketable stars go down with an injury.... BUT, this helps out the Rockets, so that is good, I guess.
So does that mean if the Rockets HAD signed Webber, he would have suffered the exact same injury to the exact same ankle at the exact same time? It's not like it was a pre-existing condition.
I guess that Webber won't be able to kill the Rockets like he said he would. How can you do that when you injure yourself in the first five freakin' minutes of a game? Do we play the Kings in the first month of the season?
I feel better about it. If Taylor goes down for the season at least we know Webber goes down (at least partially) too.
Taylor is nowhere near as good as Chris Webber. Imagine, Webber wanted to be in Houston and CD didn't call him up. Rockets missed on the great chance. I don't know why a lot call Webber a punk. Maybe he's got an attitude. But he's a talented player. And he knows it.
It's turned out for the better. If we had signed Webber... -We probably wouldn't have drafted Griffin -We wouldn't have Marc Jackson (48 hours and waiting...)or Mo Taylor -We wouldn't have Glen Rice for Shann Anersn -We wouldn't have draft picks for Hakeem On another note, we play Sacramento twice in November, without CWebb.
It doesn't make me feel better at all.It doesn't make our team any better. I don't want to see anyone get hurt.
