You have to feel for the guy when you read this:

    Waiting on real Mr. Rogers

Carlos Rogers was in despair after Saturday's game.

"I'm ready to sit here and cry," he said, long after most of his teammates had left the locker room. "This is terrible. This is the worst camp I've ever had."

Rogers suffered a bruise to his right thigh when he was kneed on the second day of training camp. He's continued to play, but hasn't played like a 30-year-old veteran who once was the 11th player selected in the draft. He's accumulated just five points and one rebound in a total of 23 minutes over three games.

"My whole game is running and jumping, and if you can't do those things, you're not effective at all," Rogers said. "To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if Isiah cut me right now.

"I wanted to suck it up and fight through it without taking days off, but I'm still at square one. Every time I feel like I'm getting better, (the injured thigh) gets hit and I'm back where I started."

Poor Los, he really just can't get a break. is there another NBA player who has had it as rough as him?
Man, I hope he gets a contract somewhere.
    He makes me really sad.

man, i wish los would have done better in practices so Rudy wouldn't have wanted him off the team...he always gave us a good spark off the bench.

    Poor Carlos :(

Remember when Dateline Houston did a segment on Carlos. He is really one of the good guys in this world.

I remember the kids from some organization during Christmas smiling as Carlos handed each of them a walkman :) That was pretty cool.

Carlos is a cool guy. Always gave 100% when he was on the court with Houston. I feel for him.

Unfortunately, this is the reason why he's no longer a Rocket, IMO. He was seemingly always injured.

Geez that's a first and a major shock Carlos Rogers getting injured.
