thx for all the replies. sounds like the TV streaming sites are illegal, no? Are you guys really convinced those sites are going to work for the playoffs? I'm leaning towards the slingblade stuff...since it's legal. DaDakota, when you say only one remote person can be hooked up at one time, what about a remote person and someone at the house? If you changed the channel at home, would that change the channel that I'm watching? I really don't know anything about the technology.
Yes, if you changed the channel remotely (you basically control the DVR from a remote location), or we at home changed the channel it would change it on the internet version too.....but the TV it is hooked up to is dedicated to the DVR and in my office at home, it is for EXACTLY this purpose, I watch all my shows when I travel in the hotel etc., just tell me when you want to watch, and I will make sure you are all clear. And if I turned on the TV and the Rockets game was playing from DVR, I would know not to mess with it. I just upgraded my firmware and software in anticipation of you and Fadeaway using it. After the playoffs, I will change up the connections & passwords, but I will be happy to share access for my fellow Rocket fans who are traveling while I am at home. DD
SKySports......giant sports network in Europe (based in UK)...I watched Rockets vs. Knicks game 7 in Amsterdam on that channel. It still exists, check their listings.
