Santa Cruz teacher calls police after eating student's mar1juana brownie
    Thursday, October 4, 2001
(10-04) 10:08 PDT SANTA CRUZ, Calif.

(AP) -- A Santa Cruz middle school student who
used his home economics skills to bake brownies for a school trip added an extra ingredient -- mar1juana.

"The recipe is probably not something he found in Martha Stewart," said Santa Cruz police Sgt. Steve Clark. (duh, he probably found it in High Times! -rH)

The Sojourn Charter Middle School student brought chocolate brownies cooked with mar1juana to a Sept. 25 school outing and passed them out to six unsuspecting students and his teacher.

Clark said the teacher, who was aware the 14-year-old boy had past problems with mar1juana, jokingly asked for one of the "pot brownies." The boy gave her one, and she ate it. (she KNEW what was in those brownies!! -rH)

When the teacher started to feel dizzy and confused, she called police.(she should've just gone with it...-rH) Some students in the class complained of similar symptoms and said they felt sick.

Paramedics were called as a precaution, but
all the kids were fine, (of course they were, pot is pretty much harmless -rH) according to school principal Marilyn Armstrong. She would not say whether the boy was suspended, citing his age and student confidentiality.

The boy told police he was trying to get the class stoned, Clark said.(he did -rH) His case has been forwarded to juvenile hall.

If that is Santa Cruz <i> CA </i>, that kid sure was unlucky in getting that particular teacher.

<b>Paramedics attempted to stop the incessant giggling by the children by providing jumbo size bags of Cheetos and Lays Potato Chips. Police were also concerned when children began asking questions like, "Am falling down?" and "Are you <i>sure</i> it's only 3:30?"</b>

I read a related story on the Onion a few years ago. It said that scientists have found evidence to suggest a connection between smoking mar1juana and kids sitting around on a couch, eating chips, passing a bong around. The same study also suggested a link between mar1juana and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon...

    :p

In a related note, police had to direct traffic away from the school when 6 classmates caused a traffic jam by riding their bikes down the sidewalk at 2 mph. When questioned, they said they were afraid they would be pulled over for speeding!

A similar accident happened in Australia a few years ago. Some Mormons were visiting homes, and these guys invited them in and whipped up some "Hash Cookies". Very funny, yet someone disgusting.

When I was in highschool the eternal dare was to slip a tab of acid into some teacher's beverage. I never had the guts though...

Where do you find these things? First the dwarf Baritone and now this! Also, we know that you stalk professional athletes in your spare time. I'm just amazed at it all. You are, IMO, the most "interesting" poster here!

you may not believe me... but I totally didn't realize he was a small person till after I posted... I thought it was a weird angle or something... but I noticed there was no chair and that his feet were actually under that podium...

too many brownies, too much time on the net.

Yea, when I first looked at that picture, I thought it was an optical illusion. Then I noticed his feet and I thought, "Damn! He really is that short!"

Which reminds me of another old saying: Big things sometimes come in small packages!:D
