    Recap (for those who don't want to read the whole thing):


    This award is for players who average 15-30MPG but are not usually starters, not the first person off the bench, and not the player with the highest MPG on the bench.

    Players mentioned were: Deke, Eddie Jones, Jose Calderon, Roger Mason, Boki, and Uncle Cliffy.

    The winner is: Deke.

    lol. they're reaching with some of these awards when they include "not the player with the highest MPG on the bench" to the criteria. :D

    lol, 7th man? that's a borderline insult to a player like Deke, seeing what he achieved in Yao's absence... I remember when Toni Kukoc won 6th man of the year, he was pissed coz he felt he deserved to be a starter...

    still, it's good to see deke get some recognition. that, and i think novak is a far better 12th man then span, and caused much more debate over nicknames.
