    Hot Seat

Glen Rice - Can he contribute to this team? The answer I think is yes , Rice will have to contrivute to this team , He has been in the Eastern Conference his whole career except for the Lakers which he was in the pacific division . What we need from Glen Rice is 12-15 points a night , and at least 4-5 rebounds .

Kelvin Cato - This guy would rather write Children's books than learn how to post up , And he is the highest paid bust in the NBA . I've already expected big things from him for the past 2 years , And he has done nothing to tell me he'll even show up at the games ,

    Role Players
You know what your getting with these guys .

Steve Francis - With a very talented back court Stevie Franchise needs to take this team to the playoffs , And lets face it , sometimes it might have to be on his back , Steve will have to take his shots this year and not pass them up .

Cuttino Mobley - Explosive , This guy can light up a team and they won't know what hit em' , But how many times were we forced to watch Cuttino running the isolation plays and getting open for a Jumper , Now Cat will show if he really is the second round phenom , if nobody else will take the shot you can bet he will .

Moochie Norris - Assuming he re-signs , Moochie is one of the best backup guards in the league , he does all the little things , and is the fan favorite , even if team are still trying to remember who he is , Just Ask The Indiana Pacers . If Moochie doesnt re-sign , I still love the hair .

    Wait and See

Eddie Griffin - Rockets fans were jumping for joy when they found out Rudy T had just acquired the Freshman Phenom Eddie Griffin , His jumper looks good and his post up moves were great , Now we will have to wait and see if Rudy wants to turn him loose on the NBA or let him learn from the Pros . If this guy is the real deal , Watch out Baby .

Jason Collier The Rockets 1st round pick from the forgotten draft of 2000 . JC has had a good offseason and could very well turn into another genius draft trade by CD and Rudy .

I think Big Country might have something to say about that. ;)

Nice break down! I think the main keys will be production from the post, and the role players. If the role players produce that is more weapons and a more balanced attack. If Cato steps up and contributes significantly the Rockets could be a power house. If the Rockets sign Mason and trade for White then I think the Rockets could be a 4 or 5 seed. If the Rockets can get Marc Jackson or Jahidi White I think they're a 7 seed. If they get Jackson and White they're a 6 seed guarantee I think. Maybe I should change my opinion and say the key is getting a big man who can contribute! :D

    differences in opinion.

whose in the spotlight of Wait and see??

well it is KT. he and griffin are both in the same spotlight. they are both facing the same kind of situation. they both have shown that they could contribute. this year we will really find out of KT CAN contribute. i think he can, and i think that Griff will be able to get 6th man kind of minutes along the way. this is a pretty good combo if you were running a player development camp. unfortunately this is a game wining money making machine, so we will have to...... wait and see.

moochie, if signed is not as important as you place him. sure he has the goods, but this is really just cat and steves team. hopefully we can add some Hot Rice on the side of that dish.

well this season should be interesting at the very least.

    peace

Honorable mention: Greg Ostertag...if he had one ounce of intensity, Utah might have a banner hanging in the Delta Center.

Honorable mention part 2: Juwan Howard...enough said.

Hey, Vin Baker is ticked off that he isn't listed! It's unfair not to list a guy who is killing a franchise's cap space quite like he's doing!

What about Todd Mac for NJ?
New Jersey will have nightmares about signing him to that contract.
