Apparently, the site spread too fast. It had about 30-40 pictures of people in various countries around the world mourning and grieving for the US -- placing flowers at embassies, national assemblies, etc. (It was broken down by country)
What great pictures. It is so heartwarming to see such support from around the world. The pictures that choke me up the most, though, are the ones from Russia and other former Soviet states. It's still hard for a guy like me who grew up fearing the Soviet Union and being told time and again that they were our enemies to not get emotional when I see how much that has changed. To see all those flowers and other signs of support from those countries puts a lump in my throat more than the rest. But the pictures from people with our closer allies like Germany, Brittain, Australia, Japan, Canada, etc. are all very touching, as well.
