Im freaking out.......... I fly Southwest non-stop from Austin to Las Vegas on October 11th, then I fly back to Austin from Vegas on the 14th. Will there be flights then? Should I be scared off my ass? Do I need to make any more preparations? One freaked out Drewdog....
I'm sure there will be flights by then. And the next month or so may well be the safest time to fly since security will undoubtedly be tighter for a while and won't have had to slack back off by Oct. 11th.
I am supposed to fly to Colorado tomorrow for a short vacation. I think I'm cancelling that trip just to avoid the emormous mess that's going to be taking place at airports over the next few days.
Drewdog, Why not? It will be fine. Remember, they took the planes with knives because people thought that they had bombs and they told them that they would all be OK. They cannot pull that crap off again. Personally, I am taking a flight from LA to Austin next week (unless it takes 3 hours to get through security).
I fly from Omaha to Chicago in 2 weeks {9-26} and I think this will be the safest time to fly. I will be curious to see how the airports react to the changes. I fly out of Omaha about 2 times a month, and the airport here {Eppley} is not exactly known for it`security
I'm going to Phoenix in Sunday. The only thing I'm concerned about is long delays and possible cancelations as the airlines get back up and running. I think you will be OK Drewdog
I fly down to Houston about every month. I couldn't get any of the cheapo tickets for this month so I'll be driving instead, but I've already bought tickets for October and November. I'm seriously wondering whether I'll use them or not.
