My SWB phone service has crapped out! I have no phone and no DSL!! I will be out of commission for a few days waiting on repairs... I think it's time to switch to a cable modem. If I've got no phone, it's a double whammy cause that means no DSL and no dial up! Not even dial up!! have a nice holiday see ya soon, rH

When I lived in Arlington, we had a situation where construction crew was digging for some reason and ended up cutting the phone cable, knocking out phone service to hundreds of homes. I could live without the phone, but it really was a huge deal to be without Internet service for several days.
I had NOTHING but problems but with my DSL with every company I tried. No one knew how anything worked (I actually had SWB people tell me they couldn't help with Macintosh but if I hired someone, would I call them and give them the info so they would have it for their next customer???) and support was unbelievably bad. Roadrunner has worked fine.
well get this... after all my whining and complaining... I find out that I had overlooked my SWB bill and not paid it! But do you think SWB would send a notice or at least a phone call to say they didn't have my payment? no.... they just cut off service! bastards... oh well... i'm paying it now and will have my service back up soon, i hope. i'm dying at home with no internet access... my days now are filled with yardwork, housework and odd jobs about the house... boring. rH
Finally! I've been at work all night with no internet! The network has been down all night. Ugh! Talk about boring. My job sux without my connection.
my roadrunner was out late last night too. damned time warner. Their Page says new customers sign up for $44.95/month are they gonna raise the rates for the rest of us too?
they might, outlaw... that's still cheaper than SWB DSL... 49.99! Here's a question...would SWB cut your phone service for being a couple of days late on your bill? Wouldn't they send a second notice or something? rH
