I think this is good news for the Blazers and I'm sure Miles doesn't mind a bit. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2662077 PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers forward Darius Miles had microfracture surgery on his right knee and will miss the rest of the season, the team said Tuesday. An arthroscopic procedure uncovered the need for additional surgery. Miles was unable to work out this summer and did not play in the preseason because of the persistent knee problem, which required surgery last December. He averaged a career-high 14 points last season, his sixth in the league, but missed 34 games because of the injury.
Hard to believe that some people on this board wanted us to trade Juwan Howard for this cancer during the offseason.
imagine if we traded our 8th pick and juawn for miles and the 4th pick. shane + juawn (which is a negative) > roy + miles + swift. we would have 2 big contracts thats a waste and a good rookie.
actually you dont really need to use your knees to do that fist forehead bump thing that he's built his career on.
I'm sure Miles will make sure of that. He doesn't like basketball and this gives him a valid excuse. Good for the Blazers and good for Miles.
The NBA Pure Potential Team has just put Darius on waivers. The microfracture victims association may file a grievance. Evan
he's done. that injury is a career ender. if he is able to come back, he will be a scrub. look at allan houston, penny hardaway, antonio mcdyess... those guys weren't scrubs when they got back but they were also much better than him before the sergery.
