    Good point. That's the only plausible reason to call it bumpy. I guess everyone needs to make predictions and do these rankings to make news, but there's almost thing to base it on except for what happened last season and trades. Two weeks into the regular season and Stein's list will look like he picked it w/ lottery balls.

    Why do you guys get so worked up over preseason power rankings????? :eek:

    He's allowed his opinion whether you like them or not. The season starts soon enough, don't worry be happy, its not where you start but where you end up.

    WHY is ther e so much hype on the Bulls? They are going to improve but in no way i think they are going to go to the finals or seomthing. Its just ben wallace.

    Actually, Power rankings don't mean squat, it just gives us sports fans something to bicker over, but it doesn't mean a dang thing....it is an opinion, no more valuable than yours or mine....well....yours anyway.

    call me crazy but i'm glad that the rockets are ranked low all the time.

    it helps the vegas odds. i'll be rich when we win the championship this season.

    I don't care much about the power rankings right now, they can think what they want...I just want the season to hurry up and start!

    Not saying that I think it is credible...but cmon homers...do you remember what record we had last year. This team has had problems gelling in the past and you never know what you are going to get until the season actually starts. There is a lot of talent and a whole lot of unknown.

    Yes, we are both die hard Rocks fans who met through the BBS. We really honestly couldn't be happier.

    Oh and about the power rankings...I don't see why people are getting upset. These rankings don't mean jack. We're what, #12? Stein put Phoenix at 11 in '04-'05 and they won 62 games. This, inevitably, means the Rockets will win 60-61 games. It's amazing the things I can deduce when I think like Marc Stein!

    I thought we all like when the Rockets are disrespected underdogs, anyways. Brings out the fight in all of us! :-o

    Nicely Said. These power rankings mean nothing. Once the Rockets start the regular season and begin winning lots of games, they'll be ranked higher. It's not like these preseason rankings affect anything.

    yea, power rankings dont really mean anything. its really just based on which team has the best win streak at the time.
