A band called Soul Coughing had an awful song called "Circles" on the airways last year. Check out these lyrics: When you were languishing in rooms I built to foul you in And when the wind set down in funnel form and pulled you in I don't need to walk around in circles When the ghostly dust of violence traces everything And when the gas is drained just wreck it, you insured the thing But I can't sigh now that you made the move It has gone and gone to dogs, lay down on the floor For the right price I can get everything Slip into the car, go driving to the farthest star Just those lyrics are bad enough, but they repeat "I don't need to walk around in circles" at LEAST eighty times....over and over and over. I nearly break my fingers trying to jab the station buttons on my radio as fast as possible when I hear it.
deepellumrocket, you are right on the money! "Champagne Supernova" is one of the worst, most overplayed songs I have ever heard. And the line: Slowly walking down the hall, Faster than a cannonball. This is the worst line ever, which eliminates whatever credibility this song could have possibly had. The lyrics make no sense, and Noel just drones on and on forever about meaningless garbage. I was listening to this song on the radio about two weeks ago and it made me really angry when I heard that line . Anyways, I am just glad someone else out there realized just how bad this song is. Thanks!
ANYTHING by bon jovi ! Also I have to agree with the champagne supernova. ahh one more, sister christian by....ummm ...aah....can't remember who the hell it was by.
"Pour Some Sugar on Me" was a great cut...That song is 100% pure, unadulterated sex... You got the peaches I got the cream Sweet to taste, exactly! Cuz I'm Hot, (hot, so hot), sticky sweet from my head to my feet Pretty twisted, once you read into it... Bon Jovi was some hard stuff back in the day, but then they got watered down and luke warm...Slippery When Wet is in my top 10 favorite albums of all time Sister Christian was sung by Night Ranger... 80's music forever!!!
LoL.. Never heard anyone refer to bon jovi as "hard" rock, always was bubble gum as far as I'm concerned. Judas Priest ....now that was hard rock !
No way Bon Jovi could be classified as hard rock! That's like saying Metallica used to be adult contemporary or something... Definitely hair/bubble gum rock...
Speaking of twisted, how about "We're not going to take it anymore" by Twisted Sister. That was as cheesy as cheesy gets.
