    WELCOME TO THE SHOW!

with camp about to start, and an unbalanced roster, there are more players than roster spots.

    here are the locks:

    yao-deke
    shane-jho-hayes
    tmac-snyder-novak
    wells-head
    rafer-spanoulis-jl3

that leaves 2 spots to earn for this years contestants. let's meet them now!

bob sura: a man's man who is also a ladies man...weird.
ryan bowen: teammates call him the "germinator."
scott padgett: once beat the knicks single handedly (if you remember the shot).
casey jacobson: known for a ridiculously hot wife.
kelenna azubuike (sp?): a college teammate, and ex roomate of current rocket chuck hayes.
matt haryasz: his last name says it all.

each contestant will have a chance to make a point which he thinks can convince you not to cut him. and then you vote for, WHO...GETS...CUT?!!!

bob: " 'the flip' gives this team a swagger."

ryan: "i know shane took my role as defensive specialist, but 2 shanes are better than one!"

scott: "the more shooters you have, the more shots you make."

casey: "my wife will be at every game and team event!"

kelenna: "i add athleticism and i get along with chuck hayes."

matt: "this team needs another big man. this team needs HARYASZ!"
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok vote for who you WANT to cut. NOT who you think will be cut. THEN, write in below who you WANT to make the team. GO!

    Novak isn't a lock, IMO.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Snyder gets walking papers.

he's listed as a 2 year rookie minimum deal with a team option, so that's not exactly a lot on the hook.

I'd like the final 2 roster spots to go to Bob Sura and Scott Padgett. I voted for the rest to be cut.

Novak is a candidate for the development league, especially since we just signed Padgett.

I don't get the deal with Casey Jacobsen's wife; "ridiculously hot"?

I really don't think so. A little too bleached & tanned for my tastes

I like this game but I have a feeling the vote will swing dramatically after the preseason. I dont know where it will swing but I expect to be impressed by one of the players we have yet to see play, either azabuiki (i hope he stays otherwise i learned the correct spelling of his name for nothing), haryas (if he does make the team can there be a stipulation in the contract that he has to change his last name to harris), or casey, who is the only one who doesnt bring anything to the table that we dont already have and whos wife is probly hotter than tony parkers wife although i dont see how that can be anything but a distraction to the team...

-bob sura (9% chance of making it)
-ryan bowen (55% chance of making it, should be 1%)
-scott padgett (45% chance of making it)
-casey jacobson (70% chance of making it)
-kelenna azubuike (20% chance of making it, should be 50%)
-matt haryasz (1% chance of making it, 10% if Yao, Deke, or Howard gets injured in TC)

I really think CS is the most likely of the bunch to make it. He shoots about like Padgett (high 30s from 3 land), but is younger, can give 3 shooting at the SG position/play more positons, and easier to cover up defensively. He also has a partially guaranted contract.

KA had a decent chance until Bonzi signed, but he probably needs to now outplay Snyder and/or CS to make it, that is a tall order for him to outplay those more experienced NBA swingmen.

In the end I'll say CS and RB make it knowing JVG. Subbing SP for RB is the next most plausible.

Bowen and Padgett should stay, unless Sura recovers quickly enough to give some realistic hope that he can play. Then I'd like Sura and Bowen to stay.

A question about the developmental league, could we send Novak there and while he is there, keep Sura, Bowen and Padgett - and can we bring Novak back from the developmental league during the season and cut one of the three aforementioned guys (or Sura retires)?
