I had the misfortune of accidentally catching this yapping obnoxious loser on TV while the remote was across the room the last week. She was yelling incoherently, about Jonmarkbenetramseykarr and all of that nonsense, surprise surprise. Not only is she loud and obnoxious, but she comes off as quite stupid. She was railing about the Jon Mark Karr case collapsing; first off she blamed Thailand and said it was there fault for not conducting DNA tests there.. because "thailand is the child prostitution trafficking capital of the world, you're telling me that they can't do forensic DNA tests there?" What? That doesn't make any sense whatsover and is wrong on mutliple levels. First off dumbass Nancy, if there's any "capital" of child sex trade it's not Thailand, it's generally thought to be Cambodia, which happens to be an entirely different country, peopled by a different ethnic group, speaking a different language, with a different culture and traditions, idiot. Second, how is there any correlation on having child prostitution and having a good forensic DNA lab? What the f-k, am I on crazy pills or does this make no sense. Third, Nancy, since your allegedly a lawyer, you ever consider to think that the Boulder DA might want to have DNA testing done...at its own forensic lab? Where it can control the procedure and have the results be more likely to be admissible in court, rather than in some unspecified thai facility? Duuuh. Then she started railing on the female Boulder DA for being too proud and obnoxious, I am not making that up. Those 30 seconds of having to listen to her are burned into my memory, so much so that I had to start this thread. What an awful thing. I worked with somebody who had the misfortune of having some law school classes with her, apparently she was a real winner there too.
I agree Fisher she's just so loud and annoying she's the Steven A Smith of Law. Also didn't like how she kept hating on Michael Jackson. Nancy Grace: loud and obnoxious CNN Show Michael Jackson: Thriller Bad Dangerous Off the Wall the Jackson 5 We are the World
dude, I watched her everyday during the mike jackson trial and she damn near cried when he wasn't convicted. then she said the police were wrong for pursuing a case agains the lady who said she was kidnapped but then turned up she didn't want to get married. the woman's a trip. she belongs on fox news.
She is definitely an obnoxious loud-mouthed yapper. Unfortunately our break area TVs are almost permanently tuned to CNNHN so I have to hear her whenever I pass through that area or go into the bathroom. She irritates me to no end. The other day she brought Elizabeth Smart on and kept badgering her with questions about her experience with the kidnappers. The poor girl did not want dredge up all those painful memories, and you would think that after about five consecutive one-word answers and the frustrated look on the girl's face she would have gotten a clue...but she wasn't interested in the girl's feelings at all. The girl wanted to talk about a congress bill, but it was clear that from the beginning Nancy had only one thing on her mind, until the girl basically told her to shut up because she was really getting ticked off. What a douche.
Oh, hell yes! Get rid of the stupid b!tch. I'm a freely admitted news junkie, who watches a lot of cable news, and frequently has CNN on the TV "in the background," paying attention if something becomes interesting. The only saving "grace," to Grace is that she's now on Headline News, which I don't watch much. Still, the mere presence of her there represents a pollution of the cable news genre that cannot stand. Mobilize the Marines. Get a hold of the admiral of the Atlantic Fleet. Call the Air National Guard... no, scratch that. They were once dumb enough to accept George W. Bush. Who knows if they could handle such an assignment?? Down with Grace! Grace is a klutz! There's no grace in Grace! Keep D&D Civil and Graceless.
Does she get ratinngs because everybody loves to hate her/rubberneck her stupidity, or does anybody actually like this person? Perhaps a poll is in order.
Never even heard of her. Maybe I should watch for 5 minutes just to know what the f you guys are talking about?
Yes, Yes, Yes! Her time has long past, and actually should have never been. She is so obnoxious, very uninteresting, and just a shrew. I'm sorry about her past problems with her husband, and I'm also sorry that she was able to turn that into a career that should have never been.
She is, fittingly, the Glenn Beck of legal journalism. The best takedown of Nancy Grace I've come across is the Observer's "Did Nancy Grace, TV Crimebuster, Muddy Her Myth?" It is deservedly vicious, and worth the read. Grace is on TV for two reasons: she was once a 1.000 prosecutor in CNN's hometown (illegally taking their camera crew on a tour of a crimescene), and she claims to have become a prosecutor / victims rights advocate because of her own harrowing ordeal with an indifferent judicial system. This article shows that she's been lying about the latter part: that the murderer of her college sweetheart was not the Willie Horton she often describes, but a pathetic mentally r****ded coworker of her then-boyfriend, and that, despite her frequent recountings, the system worked perfectly in prosecuting the killer (besides, of course, convicting a r****ded person). (What's left out of this article, in a source I cannot recall, is that she claims to have lived as a permanent bachelorette / ice queen ever since her boyfriend's murder.) The only question I have is whether Grace is doing more damage now, advocating a guilty-till-innocent judicial system to an audience of millions, or as a cut-corners, win-at-all-costs prosecutor. Methinks we're better off with her current status; at least as an entertainer she can be written off as a clown. Choice quotes: Last lines:
I can't watch her for more than a few minutes. Just like the right wing radio kooks, she probably has a loyal following of people that can't get enough of her.
A year or so ago she was rumored to be Larry King's heir apparent, much to his chagrin. Fortunately, her shtick has apparently plateaued. Also: This logic is flawless. Even if you construct it, giving benefits of doubts: I think the edge still goes to Jackson.
