    Hufu!

If I eat the original form I may get in trouble, so I had to switch to Hufu.

I posted in the '03 one. Pretty consistent with what I put here, except I put my Mom's biscuits instead of her rolls with the chicken fried steak dinner, and I added several other things. Nice to see heypartner posting in the '02 one. I remember the Alfred's Deli in the Village. Went many times, and it was my favorite in H-town. (I was lucky enough to have a garage apartment in the area for years... great location)

I don't think we ever ate at that one, was at the Stella Link one fairly often as a kid.

Have you found any good deli in town? Have you tried Manny Hattan's? I was unimpressed when they opened, but maybe it's time to retry (esp. since Rob Balon mentioned 'the ultimate comfort food' http://www.diningoutwithrobbalon.com/review/manny/index.html )

Texas never ceases to amaze me. As soon as you think you've heard of every town in the State...

Kahn's in the Village is almost identical. It's owned by Alfred's son.

Either going to Fadi's or the Cheesecake factory for their famous crispy chicken costelleta or the spicy cashew chicken dish...breakfast wise nothing beats a quick stop at Chik-fil-a for those chicken biscuits
