i think it would be incorrect to say that hindus have a general hatred for muslims. a majority of hindus see indian muslims (13% of the population) as an integral and important part of a secular india. and historically, india has had great ties with countries in the muslim world (outside of pakistan). what indian hindus (and possibly indian muslims too) hate is pakistani muslims because they continue to support, fund, and arm terrorists that attack india on a regular basis. simply put, the approval ratings for bush are so high because they seem him as someone that is actually doing something to rid the world of these same savages that target india
