This may mean that Chinese Internet users will no longer rely on ICANN , the U.S.-backed domain name administrator, and, as one commentator notes, could be the beginning of the end of the globally interoperable Internet."
It will make it much easier for the Chinese Government to restrict access to sites with "western Ideals & influences"
At what point will their increasingly capitalistic business side clash with stupid ideas like this? Let the people have their nba.com. As long as it doesn't end in a world war, I'm cool.
