I was thinking that maybe be injured for so long helped Yao by letting him get some much needed rest. Playing basketball all year long like he does has got to keep him exhausted. Maybe one of these days he can become a Rockets only player and get the offseason off! I hope he keeps dominating like he is now!! :)

its not because he had it and he got better. he was better already, but the injury was holding him back, this is what he should have been already.

    hmm.. i disagree..

getting back into game shape is not fun.. its easier to 'maintain' than 'get it back'.. i know this because i had a sports injury recently which forced me to take a break from most physical activity for nearly 2 months..

Absolutely. While the injury did give him some rest, he had to work hard to get his physical shape back. But the injury that was holding him back is gone now, and he can play pain free (right?) now and he's able to tap into his potential.
