At this point in time what do you think the chances are for Tracy McGrady winning a MVP one day?

I think that he could still do it. If he could get his back to stop bothering him and the team to improve its very possible.

Not with JVG. His stats suck right now, and have the past three seasons. He might not even be on an all nba team this year.

Based on that, who knows how he will bounce back.

Surround him with better role players and T-Mac will win an MVP. A reason Hakeem won the MVP was because his surrounding cast was perfect.

We don't need that, team success would be a lot sweeter...starting next season of course.

I think McGrady will eventually win an MVP. It'll be a Finals MVP though. ;)

if yao gets better, he's going to have a slim chance winning it. Plus don't only pg's and big men win it with the exception of Airness.

I see one in his future, but the Rockets as a team need to perform extremely well during the regular season while Tmac just does his thing.I see maybe one before his career is out and hopefully he can pull off a finals MVP in the same season ;)

of course hes capable of getting an MVP but Im not sure he has a chance being as though everyone is all over the likes of lebron james, kobe bryant, and others. Tmac dosnt get enough credit sometimes

If the Rockets play (in later seasons) like they have this season with Tracy and Yao on the court, I do believe T-Mac could win an MVP award. For some reason, I have a feeling he might not get it unless his team leads the division. But maybe it depends on overall record more, I'm not sure. Our division is tough right now.

T-Mac will most probably be much healthier next season, granted he rests this season.

I'm positive that before his career is over, he'll have at least 1 MVP trophy. I'm also positive he'll have at least 1 championship trophy, too.

    (WITH THE ROCKETS, OF COURSE)

Next season, if both he and Yao stay healthy, the Rockets are going to win a ton of regular season games, maybe 60, he will deserve MVP consideration, the problem is if the Rockets are that good Yao will deserve MVP consideration too, so they'll split votes.

Yao will not get better. He's at his peak.
