Wireless mouse users...

I have a Logitech lx7 and they have lasted 3 months so far... no signs of slowing down yet.

 

I use rechargeable ones and they last about a month.

 

Not sure exactly how long, but it seems near the end of the battery life it keeps losing the signal or whatever you call it from the base so I have to press the button on the bottom of the mouse.. gets annoying

 

about 6-8 months.

 

Logitech MX1000 (Laser) with builtin batteries last a week or two before it needs recharging *AND* it's an awesome mouse!

My other 2 wireless uses rechargeables & I just randomly take them out & recharge when I know I'm not going to use them for a few hours.

 

Just got my first wireless mouse for christmas.

It's a logitech cordless optical mouse. My first mouse that doesn't have a track ball.

What a great day this has been.

 

3-4 months. The wireless keyboard batteries last even longer.

 

Really old and crappy rechargable batteries lasted me 3+ months with no problems. I replaced them with no-name brand alkaline and it's been 4+ months; after being curious myself a few days ago to see how much juice they got left, they still are about 60% full according to my battery tester.

Oh and I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer I got for $18 on Woot a few months back. No cord is soooooo nice.

 

I just bought a cheapie one this week but when my computer has been asleep for a couple of hours it's like the mouse isn't there. I have unplug and re-plug the USB and let it recognize it again.

That's a drag.

 

I think it really depends on how often you use the mouse. I have to change the batteries like every 3 months.

I tried an Microsoft wireless mouse last year and had all sorts of problems like that. It got so bad I just ditched it and switched back to the old rollerball mouse.

 

I've never been a fan of wireless mice due to the increase in weight... it probably has something to do with the fact that I am a FPS gamer and use photoshop all the time though and love a mouse that you can barely feel moving. I'll take my Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 and it's cord any day of the week... it also looks super-sexy with my corded Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard 4000. I can see how business/internet users would love no cords though.

 

Ive had the logitech Mx700 combo for almost 3 years and it works great. I just had to change the batteries out of the keyboard about 2 weeks ago and the mouse will hold its charge for about 3 or 4 days before it starts blinking red.
Im not one of those guys who likes the light mouse and im sure they have mice that hold charge for much longer. I had my eyes on the mx1000 laser for a while.
So far I am extremely happy with my wirless mouse.
