    I don't have one...

But I don't see an argument that could say that either Morris or Griffin is more qualified to be a SG than Langhi.

I kind of like "Summer of '69 Giver"...

I got my first real six-string
    Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it til my fingers bled
It was the summer of '69

Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody got married
I shoulda known we'd never get far

Oh when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya - I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life

    Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got a job to do
Spent my evenin's down at the drive-in
And that's when I met you

    Standin' on your Mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69

    Man we were killin' time
    We were young and restless
    We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever - forever, no

And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six-string
I think about ya wonder what went wrong

    Standin' on your Mama's porch
You told me it would last forever
Oh the way you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking,
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

    game over...

from this point on, anyone who registers a name change, but doesn't change is out of the bet. If you want to wait for final decision Oct 31st, fine. But do not post as a bi-uid again.

Oh, and if anyone wants out of the bet, beware that we will launch an newbiehad "blank response" campaign on every post you do under a reneging name.

The Blank Response Campaign against renegers shall commence on Oct 31st and last for the whole year.

By the way, this quote is from today's Houston Chronicle.

"For now, Griffin is playing almost exclusively as a power forward, and he said it does not matter to him which forward position brings him playing time."

    Interesting....NO???????

Blank Response Campaign Against Runaway Renegers

Can I get a roll call for who is going to join Crisco and I on a Blank Response Campaign? Please Shout Out.

    Here's the deal:

    <ul>
[*]Anyone who posts as a bi-uid again is out of the bet.
[*]Any loser who doesn't accept defeat by Oct 31st is out of the bet.[/list]

As soon as you are kicked out of the bet, we start launching Blank Response on every post by the runaway reneger.

Who is down? And hell, who wants to go ahead and just declare both BahDakota and Pooh-T out of the bet right now. I think they deserve a blank response campaign *right now*. Hold me back, Crisco; hold me back.

Please don't act until Crisco gives us the high sign.

I remember when Bob Rainey did that...

Rockets need power forward. Mo near now. Go near Mo.

You can Run from the bet, you can Rave at the bet...but you just can't hide.

The 2 most important things I wnat to get across are:

    1. Griffin is NO superstar, YET !!! He is a 19 year old kid with potential, and we don't know what position he is going to play in the NBA.

    2. Never concede a bet before the winner is completely clear.

Euphoria is nice, but reality gets you farther.

Technicalities must be even nicer. Side A bet: 'SFs suck, Rudy will go big'. Side B bets: 'There sure are a lot of SFs in the draft, it's only natural to expect that we're going to get one of those'...

The Rockets take 4 picks and turn them into 2 SFs.

Would that not even trump any specific 'out' that you could have written up? It blows away the entire intuition of Side A. That's why heypartner/crispee conceded. He saw the writing on the wall, and he's not a sore loser.

One of the SFs, was presumptively drafted as a gift to Steve, the other at the #7 pick in the draft. The Rockets go further to say "we would have taken this guy w/ the first pick in the draft". If true, this only furthers the claim that many people have, that the team tries to best the available talent when needs are a wash.

Don't be a dork, you take the fun out of betting... and bets become impossible to maintain when dorks start jumping overboard. If I had lost, trust me, I would have worn whatever horrible name with honor (that's why I chose Smeg, I thought I was going to lose [IMG]).

This is getting so crazy. I haven't seen this much whinning and crying since day care let out for the summer.

I am calling out all those who are pulling out. Bah, if you tried to pull this crud in a bar bet, you would lose your money and get a beating.

Quit whinning and take your medicine.

T-Pooh and BahDakota went up the hill,
to make a bet on a Foreward.
    When it all came down,
they were nowhere to be found.
Now they should be drawn and quartered.
