Anyone else playing this. I picked it up last week, and was pleasantly surprised. For those that don't know, this is the new God game by Peter Molyneaux. The premise is that you are the head of a fledgling movie studio, and must build it into a successful Hollywood entity. You start in the 20's with 20's technology, and you have to build a stable of stars, directors, extras and crew. You also develop scripts, which at first are done for you in the form of basic 3 scene movies. As you progress you get better scriptwriters and better sets, props, costumes, etc. So far I am into the mid 30's. The game is pretty fun and some of the productions are hilarious. I made a romantic movie, and hadn't really thought about the fact that all my actors were male. All in all, I have been pretty impressed with the gameplay. It is fun and challenging but it is also pretty easy to get the hang of controlling the studio. The nice thing about it is you can get involved in it as much or as little as you want. You can have all your skits written for you, or you can actually go through and piece together your own scripts. A pretty good pick up if your interested in such things.

Aw, man... I thought this was a thread about how to Politically Correctly call a MOVIE. :(

I'm definitely going to pick this up. I think once the modding community gets a good start on it, and if it has a decent amount of freedom in a 'free play' mode, it's role as a straightforward 'movie maker' should be cool.

As it is, that and the single player 'tycoon' type game make it a good buy for me.

I haven't played the sandbox yet but from what I read once you've opened soemthing in regular game play is open in sandbox. But you should be able to get a save game from somewhere and that should open everything.
