I was just curious if there was a way to burn video clips to a CDRW or whatever and have them play on a DVD player. I know some DVD players have the "CD-R" symbol on them but I've never been able to figure out how to go about burning anything onto one that so it might actually work. Is it just for music and/or picture CD's or what?

If you have the time, videohelp is the way to go. For a short cut guide, I would suggest using Tmpgenc to encode your files as DVD compliant MPEGs, and then burning them as a regulare DVD (Sonic MyDVD works).

The free version of Tmpgenc will allow you to convert unlimited files to MPEG1 (follow the template to ensure they are DVD compliant) which usually gives good enough quality. If you are looking for full DVD quality, you will need to convert to MPEG2, which requires a license fee.
