Man.. I hope Backe all of a sudden turns into his "last years" self. He has been scaring me lately. Hopefully the friendly confines of MMP helps his confidence.

Yeah, Backe scares me a little too. I think if we do lose a game at home, this is gonna be the one.

He has great stuff, but what is between his ears is the problem he gets flustered and allows a big inning to often.

If he ever learns to seriously let things go, and move on to the next pitch he could be a very good pitcher.

Probably 3:45 to give the networks some leeway for the Cowboys v Giants game.

I think it airs on Fox before the Stros game, and I am certain Fox does not want to switch off for fans of either of those games.

This is the crucial game of the series....if the Cards win, it is still anyone's series...if the Astros win, it will be VERY tough for the Cards to win 3 in a row against our best pitchers.

Today's game is the pivotal game of the match....let's hope Backe has his head on straight.

Sometimes I wish Clemens would visit the mound instead of Hickey.

    :)

I'm going to the game today so we will win. BTW I saw Chad Qualls and Jose Lima at Pub Fiction last night. Jose Lima was wearing a Astros cap. LOL. :D

    Go Stros!

I was at MMP for Game 3, and the big screens flashed that Game 4 first pitch would be at 3:45.

What a huge game here...if we can win the only game that Pettitte/Clemens/Oswalt don't pitch, you have to like our chances.

Backe will have a gutsy pitching performance today just like he had in game 5 last yr at MMP against the cards and last until at least the 6th inning. Again with timely hits the 'Stros win 5-2.

    I live for this baby!

Yesterday was amazing. I was able to attend Game 3 for FREE, minus the price of gas to drive down to Houston.

I'm back in College Station today. Go Stros!!! :D

I've been thinking that 7 is our magic number for today. If we get 7 runs, we win (obviously). Anything less, and I'll be nervous.

Here's hoping that Backe rediscovers his NLCS magic from last year, and we don't need to win a slugfest!
