Is there a program out there that can put scanned text into word processing documents? If I were to scan a paper, could I then put that paper into a document and edit it? Any help would be appreciated. ------------------ The Protrolls.com message boards! Protrolls.com! And his ghost can be heard as you pass by that billabong: "All I did was steal a bloody sheep!"
There are plenty of them. TextBridge will do it as well as others. You want to look for what's called "OCR" (Optical Character Recognition) software. The OCR software will "recognize" the document and you can send it to MS Word or another word processor to edit. Depending on the quality of the original and the ability of your scanner, you may have to correct some of the software's recognition. Generally, some sort of OCR comes with a scanner. Do a search on TextBridge. They may have a free "lite" version of it available for download. ------------------
