People are starting to notice. I personally don't believe that the racial makeup of this team is by design, but it is a regular topic on sportsradio programs in H-town. How can that be argued?

 

Congrats Koby, got his first career hit today for Greenville.

 

When the Astros cut Julio Lugo after his wife claimed he beat her up, I think that was messed up. I thought your are innocent untill proven guilty. Lugo was having a bad year but he still was young and had some good skills. But give the Astros credit, they are trying to solve this problem.

 

While I 100% disagree with AB, he is right in that "people are starting to notice."

I've heard this topic come up in the national media on much more than one occaision in the past few months. Radio, tv, and print.

I disagree with the "Drayton might be racist" notion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I vaguely remember a lengthy thread, and I thought you took that position.

Plus, seeing as how I've never seen "one of my people" in professional sports, I don't think it should matter one bit whether there are enough blacks, whites, hispanics, etc. on any professional sports team.

 

I danced around that subject matter a few years back but never outright accused Drayton of being a racist. If I thought that I wouldn't follow this team like I do.

 

Well I also disagree with your position that if Clemens was brought in for any reason other than being the best player available, it should have been an African American.

If that was the case, that's what I would consider racism.

I follow baseball just fine and I don't see anyone who looks like me.

Roger Clemens has a son who's African-American? And it's Koby Bryant?!?
